The breakup, while not contentious, has left Perry, 40, understandably upset, though she’s relieved to avoid another divorce-a chapter she’s described as the lowest point of her life. The insider revealed that tensions had been brewing for months, making this a “long time coming.”

The strain in their relationship appears tied to multiple factors. Perry, currently on her “Lifetimes” tour, which runs through December 7, has been coping by throwing herself into work. The source noted she’s “keeping busy” and “distracted” while traveling, even renting out her Westcott home in Montecito, California, though she and Bloom, 48, have primarily resided in their other Montecito property.

Originally, they planned to make the Westcott home their family base, but those plans shifted as they’ve been living apart since her tour began.
