Just In: White House Criticizes Joy Behar and ‘The View’ Over Controversial Episode — Show Responds to Comment from Trump’s Team”

It’s looks like The View and The White House are now sparring back and forth.
During the Hot Topics segment today, the co-hosts of the ABC daytime talk show spoke about Donald Trump’s claims about Barack Obama “trying to lead a coup.”
Joy Behar said on the air today, “First of all, who tried to overthrow the government on Jan. 6. Who was that again? That was not Obama. The thing about him is he’s so jealous of Obama, because Obama is everything that he is not: Trim, smart, handsome, happily married, and can sing Al Green’s song ‘Let’s Stay Together’ better than Al Green. And Trump cannot stand it. It’s driving him crazy.”
The White House then issued a response.
White House spokesperson Taylor Rogers reportedly said in response, via EW, that “Joy Behar is an irrelevant loser suffering from a severe case of Trump Derangement Syndrome,”
They added that Joy “should self-reflect on her own jealousy of President Trump’s historic popularity before her show is the next to be pulled off air.”
The White House also made the alleged claim that The View had “hit the lowest ratings” in years.
The View did not respond directly to the dig at Joy, but did respond about their ratings.
They said the show “is up in total viewers and women 18-49, versus the comparable weeks last season, to its most-watched in four years” and “season to date, The View is ranking No. 1 in households and total viewers among all network daytime talk shows and news programs for the fifth straight season.”
