“I will pay you”: Justin Bieber Breaks His Silence on Legal Issue With Wife Hailey

When Justin Bieber announced his new Skylrk brand last month, it did not take long for fans to notice a connection between the design of one of the brand’s phone cases and the phone cases from his wife Hailey’s brand, Rhode Beauty. As it turns out, that will be a legal issue for Justin if he moves forward with his version of the phone case.
Hailey’s iconic Rhode Beauty phone cases include a cutout on the back of the case that is specifically designed to hold Rhode lip products. Justin clearly took inspiration from this for his Skylrk phone cases.
The first phone case Justin shared from his new brand included just a bump on the back of the case rather than any sort of cutout to hold anything. However, fans still noticed a resemblance between the shape of his case and Hailey’s Rhode cases.
However, that resemblance got even stronger this week when Justin shared some new designs for the Skylrk phone cases, adding a cutout in the back but to hold a joint rather than a lip product.
As it turns out, Justin is well aware of the resemblance and the legal issues it poses for him and Skylrk.
In a post on Instagram this week, Bieber broke his silence on the matter as he revealed that Hailey actually has the tech patented, and he will have to pay her a fee – if she even allows him to use the design at all.
“[Hailey Bieber] as we know innovated something that has now become a staple in culture with her @rhode peptide lip phone case,” Justin wrote in a post on Instagram. “Turns out she has this tech [patented] so if I want to make this case I’ll have to pay her a fee.
“If she even approves me to make this lmfao,” Bieber added.
Bieber then shared a photo of the mold for the upcoming case with a public plea for his wife to approve the design.
“Workin on the moldingggggggggggggg please approve this idea [Hailey Bieber],” he wrote in the caption.
If she doesn’t approve the design, Bieber has a backup plan as he shared a sample of a case without the joint holder on the back.
The good news for Justin is that it sounds like Hailey is at least open to considering the idea.
“I’ll think about it!” she wrote in the comments of his initial post, getting over 50,000 “likes” on the comment.
