Donald Trump wasn’t the only one to warn Taylor Swift that endorsing Kamala Harris for president might impact her sales. Megyn Kelly unleashed a tirade against the singer and told her: “You can kiss your sales to the Republican audience goodbye, Taylor; hope you enjoyed them while you had them.” Trump said Swift would “pay a price in the marketplace” for her endorsement.
Swift endorsed Harris for president not long after the first debate ended between Trump and Harris. The singer released a statement that mentioned she was “so heartened and impressed” by Harris’ decision to pick Tim Walz as a running mate. Walz “has been standing up for LGBTQ+ rights,
IVF, and a woman’s right to her own body for decades,” wrote Swift. This comment deeply angered Kelly, who went on to peddle claims about the administration that have been disputed.
