Boxing legend Mike Tyson’s wife, Lakiha “Kiki” Spicer, has reportedly decided that his fighting days are over. Tyson, known for his iconic career and later comebacks, now seems to face his final retirement with Spicer firmly by his side.
According to Tyson’s son Amir, Spicer has been a pivotal force in Tyson’s life and isn’t supporting any further boxing ventures. Speaking to The Sun, Amir revealed, “My stepmom says he’s done, and they’re a team. That’s husband-and-wife stuff.”
Spicer’s decision comes after Tyson’s controversial bout against YouTuber Jake Paul, where the former heavyweight champion struggled to maintain his footing in the later rounds. Despite the fight ending in a decision loss for Tyson, many believed Paul carried the 57-year-old legend to avoid a knockout.
The fallout from the Jake Paul Fight
Tyson’s performance in the November fight raised questions about his ability to continue competing. Following the bout, Jake Paul stated, “I didn’t want to hurt someone who didn’t need to be hurt.” Tyson, however, seemed less convinced about his retirement, teasing a potential fight against Paul’s brother, Logan.
Despite the banter, Amir Tyson hinted that his father is unlikely to heed outside advice, even from family. “He’s his own man,” Amir remarked. “If I say too much, he’d only tell me to shut up.”
