Exclusive: ”He’s So Envious Of Mahomes But Misses The Chiefs”
Tyreek Hill, known for his electrifying plays while with the Kansas City Chiefs, recently shared a heartfelt retweet that has stirred fans’ emotions.
Hill retweeted a Baltimore Ravens video featuring their WR coach, Greg Lewis, with a caption that suggested he misses aspects of his life from back when he was with the Kansas City Chiefs.
“Happy for Coach man I miss him,” Hill tweeted.
Hill’s nostalgic tweet hints at his longing for the days he shared with Coach Lewis.
From 2017 to 2020, Hill and Lewis formed a formidable duo, with Hill amassing 4,798 receiving yards and 41 touchdowns under Lewis’ guidance. This period also saw Hill earn four consecutive Pro Bowl selections and two First-Team All-Pro honors.
Hill and Lewis were crucial in the Chiefs’ dominance over the AFC West, securing six straight division titles and two Super Bowl victories. During their time together, the Chiefs’ wide receivers averaged the third-most yards per reception (14.0) and posted the fourth-most receiving touchdowns (83).
Their bond went beyond football, with Hill referring to Lewis as a mentor and friend. Despite a sideline incident in 2021 where Hill shoved Lewis, both downplayed it as playful banter, highlighting their close relationship.
Why hasn’t he been as happy in Miami?
Despite signing a lucrative $120 million contract with the Miami Dolphins, Hill has expressed a sense of longing for his Kansas City days. In a recent podcast appearance, Hill admitted feeling a sense of loss when the Chiefs won the Super Bowl without him, reflecting on the success and camaraderie he left behind.
Hill has also shown envy towards his former quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, and the Chiefs’ continued success. He liked a tweet suggesting his move to Miami was primarily for financial reasons, acknowledging the challenges of leaving a successful team.
Despite the headlines about his record-breaking contract, analysts like Mike Florio have pointed out that Hill’s actual earnings are closer to $25 million per year, not the reported $30 million. Florio explained that the structure of Hill’s deal means he will make $45 million in the last year, contrasting with the initial perception of his earnings.
