Travis Kelce continues his victorious form in 2024 with major Kentucky Derby bet win
Travis Kelce was without Taylor Swift at the 2024 Kentucky Derby but he marked the 150th running of the famous horse race by staking a winning bet as the Kansas City Chiefs star continues to collect victories after winning Super Bowl LVIII against the San Francisco 49ers.
The 34-year-old rocked up to the event in a smart white pinstripe suit coupled with a fedora that definitely flexed his wealth and looked good as he did so, and he actually left the event a little richer than when he arrived as he backed a horse for the win.
“When you show up to the Kentucky Derby and your first bet hits, the official account of the race posted to Instagram. “@killatrav off to a hot start at the Kentucky Derby.”
The Kentucky Derby is the first leg of the American Triple Crown series, followed by the Preakness Stakes and the Belmont Stakes. The quest for the Triple Crown, which has only been achieved by a handful of horses, adds to the event’s allure and excitement.
Kelce, despite the absence of his girlfriend, did find his friends though as he was seen hanging out with Jimmy Fallon, Chandler Parsons and The Chainsmokers in a small handful of the 150,000 crowd.
The NFL star certainly has a flair for the fun of life as he continues his sports career whilst pushing into television and now he’s making sure he also catches some of the biggest events in the world.
With the Kentucky Derby now checked off his bucket list, Kelce might find himself jetting off to Florida to attend the 2024 Miami Grand Prix to watch Formula 1 cars carefully thread themselves through the street circuit at the Hard Rock Stadium.
Why was Taylor Swift not there?
It’s far from unusual to see Swift and Kelce apart from each other as they both chase their high-demanding careers on their respective battlegrounds and it’s this reason that Swift didn’t attend the race.
The 34-year-old is preparing to resume her Eras Tour, which now heads to the European leg of its journey as she will perform in France on May 9 which is just a few days away.
No cause for concern, just someone who is remarkably dedicated to her craft. She might appear at the Miami GP later in the weekend though.
