WATCH: Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes finds Travis Kelce for touchdown vs. Bills
The Kansas City Chiefs earned their first lead against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday night when quarterback Patrick Mahomes hit Travis Kelce for a touchdown late in the second quarter.
After Kansas City’s defense held Buffalo to minimal gains on a Bills offensive drive, punt returner Richie James set the Chiefs up with decent field position. A long run by Clyde Edwards-Helaire set Kansas City up in scoring position. Mahomes looked Kelce’s way on a crucial second down to score six points and gain the advantage on the road.

This touchdown was a key moment in the back-and-fourth first half and could give the Chiefs a chance to push their lead to two scores if they can keep Buffalo from scoring before halftime.
Kansas City is set to receive the second-half kickoff, and have proven that they can move their offense downfield to score points against the Bills’ ailing defense.
